Can an Anti Aging Diet Really Reverse Wrinkles?

By the Editor | June 23, 2010

Can an anti aging diet reverse wrinkles?  At least one dermatologist seems to think so.  It might work for some people.  It really depends on what they were eating before.

Trying to eat right is well worth your while.  It’s not just about how you look.  It’s also about developing the so-called age-related diseases.  The latest research indicates that many of those diseases are preventable if people eat right and have a healthy lifestyle.

Advice about eating right has changed over the years and continues to do so.  There are the high protein diets, the high carb diets, the low fat diets and others.  The proponents of each of those diets claim to have found the key to weight maintenance and good health.

Here’s my advice.  Avoid packaged, processed and prepared foods.  Eat at home whenever possible.  Strive for balance by eating meats, vegetables, fruits, grains and healthy omega-3 fats.

Move around a lot.  The human body was meant to move.  Drink lots of pure water.  Avoid excessive alcohol intake. Don’t smoke and don’t hang around with people that do.

Following those suggestions will help you avoid cancer-causing chemicals and foods that age the body.  They will help improve your skin’s health and appearance, too.  But, an anti aging diet cannot do it all.  It cannot reverse wrinkles.  It takes nourishing anti aging skincare products to do that.

The reason that certain foods are good for your health while others are bad has to do with the nutrients they contain.

The bad foods contain a lot of calories and very few nutrients.  They have a detrimental effect on blood sugar levels that can lead to type II diabetes, Alzheimer’s and wrinkles.

The good nutrients fight the causes of cellular aging.  Antioxidants fight free radical damage and inflammation.  Certain nutrients help to keep blood sugar levels stable.

Many of the nutrients present in a good anti aging diet can also be found in the better anti-aging skincare products.

Nutrients like coenzyme Q10, amino acids, protein complexes, omega-3 fatty acids can reverse wrinkles when they are applied directly to the skin.  Numerous studies have proven that to be true.

So, following an anti aging diet and using anti-aging skincare products is the best approach.  You’ll look as good as you feel.

Dieting really affects the condition of the skin. Everybody should know what food is better for them to eat in their situation. Dieting is also one of the important thing that may help maintaining younger looking skin so it is better if you should eat a proper diet daily.
